About Us

Anna, Nina, Gabi and myself – we are four woman who got together to turn an idea into the reality of THE TULLE FACTORY.

In 2002, I spent the holidays with my daughter on the east coast of the U.S. and in Washington, D.C. There she saw a girl in a tulle skirt. Obviously she also wanted such a pretty thing, but is wasn't available anywhere – a mother had sewn it for her daughter.

We finally met, and to remember her visit to the U.S.A. my daughter was given that skirt as a present. This episode ignited the tulle business idea.

I started a long search for this extraordinarily soft tulle and finally found it in Mexico, which eventually resulted in a enjoyable and uncomplicated business relationship.

Experimenting with tulle turned out numerous variations of tulle skirts for every conceivable purpose, including various accessories, and during a particularly mosquito–plagued summer the idea for the first canopy/mosquito net was born.

Initially designed for little and very little girls (starting at age 3–5) we have discovered in the meantime that our skirts are particularly enjoyed by teenagers and very young woman who wear them over jeans and long skirts and dresses, while our accessories (especially our hairbands) are appreciated also by the mothers of our little girls – it's just the mosquitoes that don't seem to like us too much!

In the course of a few months and the first dissemination of photographs I was more and more encouraged, and I finally found a tailor workshop for the professional production of our products.

Every single piece is hand–made in Germany. We do not manufacture mass products, do not follow any fashion trends, and thus do not present spring/summer or fall/winter collections. We just want to bring joy to children and adults alike with our timeless products.

We are at the beginning of the history of a young company. Every one of us is highly motivated, and we put all our energy into a project we believe in.

I am looking forward to welcome you as a new customer.
